This diamond salt is extracted by hand from the Khewra mines deep in the heart of the Himalayas in the Pakistani region of Kashmir. At around 350 BC Alexander the Great had this precious salt brought to Europe. Subsequently, it was used exclusively by church dignitaries and emperors.
This amazing salt has a very individual flavour, apart from just being salty. Its unique sweetness brings out the natural flavour of your cooking.
